Black Tie Ball - April 21st 2012

The Fire Fighters Charity Ball was held at Stage 1, Grand Central, on Skegness seafront on Friday April 21st 2012. The Ball involved a three course meal, and entertainment, plus a raffle with some fantastic prizes, all of which were donated. If you went to the Ball and your photograph is not in our gallery, then please send it to us at skegnessnews@gmail.com
We would like to say a special 'thank you' to Gemma Wilkinson for providing us with these photographs and for promoting the Fire Fighters Ball so professionally. We, at The Skegness Newsletter, will always support our local heroes where charities are concerned, and Gemma and ourselves keep in contact to raise awareness for our local Fire Fighters.
Take a look at our gallery and if you didn't make it to this years event, then maybe you can make to the next. It's all for a good cause - and it's fun! Gemma, pictured left of the picture above and centre of the picture to the right, filled us in on the night's events and donations made for the charity. "All raffle prizes were donated. They were, Bulgaria holiday accommodation and transfers - courtesy of Gary Bangham at Grand Central, £145 Venture Photography voucher, 2 Butlins Spa Experience vouchers, £50 voucher for You Beauty- Lisa Brazier Hair and Beauty, family 4 ticket to The Deep, family 4 ticket to Natureland, family pass to Hardys Animal Farm, cut and blow dry at Hair Affair- Amy Mills, £30 Prezzo voucher, Ten Pin Bowling Lane- Pier Bowl, day visit pass for 2 at Butlins, 10 day passes for Skegness Stadium, family 4 ticket for Fantasy Island, 4 wristbands for Bottons, 4 Tower Cinema tickets, carvery for 2 at The Welcome Inn, Italian Biscuit Hamper, £10 voucher for Pizza Hut, gift box from Lush and a meal voucher for 2 at Ikea. The band "Sensational Soul Band" also performed as a kind gesture and Grand Central pulled out all the stops to make the venue look spectacular, and the food was excellent. We raised £975.30 from the whole evening."
You have to admit, that was one successful Charity Ball!
